Astronomy and space inspire young people – how can these subjects be developed in the school curriculum?

Science has its fashions, just like other areas of social activity. So we all have to choose: do we want to be among the followers of fashion, or up front with the leaders? And if we want to be among the leaders, how do we go about it?
